Round Table: Challenges in Applying AML/CFT Provisions in Insurance

Sarajevo, BiH – June 15, 2026

Organized by the Center for Education and Research in Insurance of the Insurance Association of FBiH (UDO FBiH), a professional round table on "Challenges in Applying the AML/CFT Provisions in Insurance" was held, with representatives of the Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in attendance.

The round table was opened by Jasmina Selimović, PhD, Governor of the Central Bank of BiH and President of the Professional Council of the Center for Education and Research in Insurance of UDO FBiH, while the event was moderated by Ermin Čengić from the Insurance Association of FBiH.

The meeting addressed the obligations of insurance companies—ranging from customer identification to reporting suspicious activities—the most common ways insurance products are misused for money laundering, and key challenges in implementing AML/CFT measures.

The event concluded with a panel discussion and an exchange of experiences among participants.
