A virtual course entitled: "Training program in inclusive insurance for insurance supervisors in the region of Central, Eastern Europe and the Transcaucasia" was conducted from 5 to 13 July 2021. It was organized by the Toronto Center, the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and the Insurance Access Initiative (A2ii).
Topics covered by the training were: regulation and supervision of inclusive insurance, the implication of climate and other natural risks on inclusive insurance, as well as the use of technologies in inclusive insurance. The role and importance of inclusive insurance and the role of supervisors and regulators in the process of inclusive insurance supervision were especially explained.
Participants took an active part in the training by submitting tasks through case studies, analyzing key business indicators of imaginary firms and preparing and presenting action plans along with stakeholder analysis. The virtual course was conducted in English by insurance experts.
